  Professor Marita Carnelley was appointed as the College of Law and Management Studies Dean of Research in 2014 after serving as an Academic Leader Research and Higher Degrees in the School of Law. She is a full professor who specializes in Family Law with a particular interest in maintenance enforcement and rights of women married in terms of religious marriages. In addition, she is one of the country’s leading scholars in the law relating to gambling regulation. She has published extensively in this area, both nationally and internationally.view more

  Professor Henry Wissink is the Dean and Head of School of Management, Information Technology and Governance in the College of Law and Management Studies.
He is educated and broadly skilled in the fields of public sector governance, public policy analysis, development studies, organisation and leadership development. Prior to joining UKZN, Wissink was employed as an academic at the University of Stellenbosch, the PE Technikon which later became the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. He primarily served in academic management capacities since 1991, firstly as a Head of Department of Public Administration and Law, and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Governmental Studies. Wissink’s own teaching background focused on training and educating public servants and prospective entrants to public service in South Africa, as well as broadly schooled professionals who went on to contribute to more effective governance and public policy-making at all levels of government.view more

Professor Theuns Pelser was appointed as the Dean and Head of School of the Graduate School of Business and Leadership in 2015.
Prior to this appointment he was the Director of the Graduate School of Business and Government Leadership at the North-West University, South Africa. Before that he was the Head of Regenesys Business School (RBS) and Strategy Manager at Sasol. Pelser holds a PhD in Strategic Management from the Potchefstroom University. His academic interest is in strategic management, within the fields of strategic marketing and small business development, especially within the context of technology and innovation management had published. He has published more than 42 academic peer reviewed and supervises MBA and doctoral students.view more

  Professor Anesh Maniraj Singh is the Dean of the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance in the College of Law and Management Studies. Prior to assuming this position he was previously the Head of the Graduate School of Business.
Singh obtained BA, MBA and DBA degrees from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (formerly the University of Durban-Westville). He has extensive management experience includes being a Director of his own IT company. He has also served as the Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Commerce and the Interim Head of the School of Information Systems and Technology, where he was also a Senior Lecturer and held the portfolio of Dean's Assistant (Research) at the School of Management, Information Technology and Governance (formerly the former Faculty of Management Studies).view more
